PHASE 1 IS FULLY FUNDED. THANK YOU TO OUR GENEROUS SUPPORTERS!

Phase 1 of the Camp Colton includes a new lodge and new systems (water, septic, and solar) and we’re not done yet. Check back for project updates and keep reading for more information about future phases. Below are some conceptual renderings of the new lodge.

THE NEXT 50 YEARS OF CAMP COLTON

Camp Colton is celebrating more than fifty years of discovery, exploration, and adventure. Kids benefit from time in nature, connecting with each other and their environment and disconnecting from technology. Support our capital campaign and create campfire memories for the next 50 years for more than 50,000 kids.

Camp Colton is overdue for a major building and systems update. Most buildings remain in their original state, dating back more than 50 years. Even more importantly, programs are at capacity and we are unable to meet increasing demand. For Camp Colton to continue, the facilities need a significant upgrade.

CAMP COLTON MASTER PLAN

The non-profit Friends of Camp Colton exists to support Camp Colton. For the past several years, we have invested in a collaborative and community-based master planning process. The ultimate goal of this plan is to ensure that future generations will have the opportunity to live, learn, and play at Camp Colton.

GOALS AND PHASING

New facilities will support existing programs flourish and make it possible for new programs to take root. We envision spaces that will inspire students to better understand their world and their place in it. By supporting significant accessibility and sustainability improvements, kids will live together and have countless opportunities to learn and grow.

Flagstaff Unified School District and Friends of Camp Colton are partnering to realize the goals of this $10 million dollar project. Phase 1 ($6 million) is in progress and made possible by generous donations to Friends ($3 million) and from the recently passed FUSD School Bond ($3 million). Friends is now raising funds for Phase 2 and 3 ($2 million).
